My best friend. How can a 3 years kid be the best friend of a 21 years boy? I don't know that. But I got everything that I wanted in a friend in him. Interaction with him everyday would be the best part of my day. And it would be amazing seeing his eyes lighten by my sight. I could feel a connection between him and me, there surely was. Those days, I was back home and I had joined a small CA firm as an apprentice. My neighbors were all teenagers or old men and their wives. My friends were busy figuring their life out. My life was getting monotonous and surely lack entertainment. Books were always my true companions but they suck all freshness out of me. I was slowly converting into a lazy slob. My routine was like: waking up late, getting to office early and leaving late and sleeping early. I was missing my social life completely and I lacked any energy for making new friends. I always hated clubs as i hated loud music and stupid ugly people jumping all around, drunk. I liked to be drunk but it was sad drinking alone. I avoided parties as I would have to catch a corner and send fake smiles over people passing by. I hated social media, it was full of desperate phony people. I tried writing, but I lacked ideas. My source of materials for a good prose has always been my surrounding, and lacking any interactions with the surrounding had my mind blank. Music helped a lot at the beginning but got irritating listening to same songs over and over again. And as I was getting depressed and slobber day by day, I was worried how to rescue myself, Arjun happened.
Arjun, a 3 years' old grandson of my neighbor. His parents left him with his grandparents and went abroad in search of work. His father was never there for him. His mother got impregnated when he father was home for a 3 months leave. His mother brought him to life and let him suck her breasts as much as he needed. And the day he no more needed the potion of her breasts she decided to join her husband leaving him behind. His parents left him behind, even before he could learn to say "aama" or "baba".
